01Scope of this policy

This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on eclit.com and its sub-pages, operated by Eclit Bilişim Hizmetleri A.Ş. Its purpose is to let you see what is collected, on what basis, and to decide about it.

The general principles for processing your personal data are set out separately in the Privacy Policy; this document covers only what is written to your browser.

Apart from strictly necessary ones, no cookie is set without your explicit permission. Where you do not permit them, the relevant scripts are not blocked — they are never loaded.

02What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website leaves in your browser. When you return, the browser sends it back and the site can recognize you or your preference.

Cookies serve three distinct purposes, and separating them matters:

Remembering

Language preference, session state, form state. Without these the site either does not work or forgets you on every page.

Measuring

How many people came, which page they read, where they came from. This is what shows whether the content is working.

Tracking

Recognising the same person across different sites and serving ads. On this site that category never runs unless you explicitly allow it.

Alongside cookies, technologies such as local storage, session storage and pixel tags can serve similar functions. This policy covers all of them.

03Cookies used on this site

The table below lists the cookies the site actually sets, and those it may set if permitted.

This policy describes the site's actual behavior. Where a measurement or marketing tool has not been switched on, its cookies are not set even if you allow the category. Listing a cookie that is never set would be as wrong a statement as omitting one that is.

04The contact form and cookies

The contact form works without setting any cookies. Filling it in and submitting it writes not a single cookie to your browser, so it needs no consent and works in full even if you reject every cookie.

What you send goes to two places: an email to our team, and a record in HubSpot, our customer relationship system. Our HubSpot account is hosted in the European Union. This is direct data processing rather than a cookie operation; which data is processed for what purpose, and for how long it is kept, is set out in our privacy policy.

The common practice is to embed the CRM provider's own form script in the page. We deliberately did not: that script sets cookies and would make the form dependent on your cookie choice — a visitor who declines cookies could not use it. The submission is sent from our own server instead, so the form works for everyone.

05Categories and legal basis

Cookies fall into three categories. Which legal basis a category rests on determines whether you are asked at all.

Essential — no consent required

Cookies technically necessary for the site to function. They remember your language and your cookie preference from this page. Regulation exempts strictly necessary cookies from the consent requirement; they must, however, be disclosed, which is why this page exists. They cannot be switched off, because the site does not work without them.

Measurement — requires consent

Lets us understand which pages get read, where visitors arrive from and where they leave. Off by default. Not used to build a personal profile.

Marketing — requires consent

Relates your visit to our communication on other platforms and to our sales process. Off by default, and while off that tracking never begins.

For categories requiring consent, that consent must be freely given, specific and informed. Accept and reject are therefore presented with equal prominence, and closing the banner does not count as consent.

06Third parties and transfer abroad

Measurement and marketing cookies send data to the relevant provider's own infrastructure. Because those providers may operate servers outside Türkiye, permitting them can constitute a transfer abroad.

This is why those categories are off by default and activate only with your explicit consent. Until you permit them, no request reaches these providers — their scripts are never added to the page.

Videos on the site are embedded via youtube-nocookie.com. That domain sets no cookie until you play a video; only at that point may a cookie be created on Google's side.

The two cookies in the essential category are first party: they stay between your browser and eclit.com and are sent to no third party.

07Retention periods

The lifetime of each cookie is stated in the table. Two general principles apply:

• Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
• Persistent cookies are kept for the stated period; when it expires the browser removes them automatically.

The record storing your cookie preference is valid for 12 months. Keeping it indefinitely would mean treating a decision made two years ago as current; once it expires you are asked again.

08Managing your preferences

You can withdraw permission at any time. Once withdrawn, the relevant cookies are no longer set; any already in your browser can be removed from your browser settings.

09Clearing and blocking from the browser

All common browsers let you view, delete and block cookies. These settings usually sit under a "Privacy and security" heading.

If you block all cookies, your language choice will not be remembered and the cookie preferences panel will reappear on every visit. The rest of the site keeps working.

Most browsers can also send a "Do Not Track" signal. As no common standard emerged for it, tracking on this site is governed solely by your preference on this page.

10Your rights

Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information where it is, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred domestically or abroad, to request correction where it is incomplete or inaccurate, to request its erasure or destruction, and to request that these actions be notified to the third parties concerned.

You can send requests to the address below. Your application will be concluded within the period prescribed by legislation.

11Changes to this policy

This policy is updated whenever a new tool is switched on or an existing cookie's purpose or duration changes, and the date at the top of the page is refreshed.

Where a change covers a category you had not permitted, you are asked again; consent given in the past is not treated as valid for a new purpose.
